privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-10-27 · nom. is made by Danylo Hodlevskyi ("we").

The short version. Your food log stays on your iPhone. When you send a meal, its photo or text goes through our server to OpenAI so the app can tell what you ate; we don't keep it. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking.

What stays on your phone

Everything you log — meals, photos, the chat with Bao, your daily energy goal — is stored only on your device, in the app's own storage. We can't see it. You can erase all of it at any time in the app under you → delete all my data, or by deleting the app.

What leaves your phone, and why

We don't sell or share your data for advertising, we don't use analytics or advertising SDKs, and we don't track you across apps or websites. If you've chosen to share crash reports with developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash and performance data.

Health information

Food logs can be personal. nom. doesn't connect to Apple Health in this version. Nutrition numbers are estimates and are not medical advice.

Children

nom. isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Because your log lives on your device, you control it directly: view, change or delete it in the app. We don't hold an account or a profile about you. If you have a question or a request — including under the GDPR or similar laws — contact us at nom@hodlapps.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for meaningful changes, tell you in the app.
